Thus far, I have been to 40 of the 50 United States.

My family did a lot of traveling when I was a kid, so many of these states I passed through without visiting them as a destination. We drove to Colorado almost every year to visit with my Grandparents, who met us there from Washington state. A couple of years we drove to Washington, and one year we drove to Maine.

A few states — such as Hawaii, Florida, Texas, and Kentucky — I visited out of my own curiosity, or simply to visit a friend who was living at an interesting destination.
