Firefox and the IMG Tag's ALT Attribute

After having some trouble with the "alt" attribute with IMG tags in my weblog, I finally turned to Google. Apparently, Firefox (and Mozilla) use the "alt" attribute as a true alternate: to display text in place of an image if the image won't load (see w3schools).

You guessed it - I do 99% of my browsing in Firefox. For mouse-over text to show up in Firefox or Mozzila, use the "title" attribute with the IMG tag:
<image src="bad_ass_picture.jpg" title="wooded areas are cool">

PRE Tag

People seem to know everything. I'll be the first to admit that I don't: my vocabulary sucks, I don't read, and you don't want me on your team if you're playing a triva game. I must have been living in a cave or something, but I just found out about the pre tag. It basically displays your text with a monospaced font (courier anyone?) while preserving any spaces in your text.

AWStats

I was looking at traffic statistics for ralford-dot-net, and wondered how AWStats came up with the estimated number of vistors who bookmark the website. Apparently, there's some rocket science behind it. Find the formula and all at AWStats Documentation.
