Software Favorites

This is a list of software that I find to be useful. Most of these programs are probably free, because I have better things to spend my money on.



HTML-Kit - many bells and whistles including a time tracking feature and the ability to flag search terms

Textpad - I like Textpad's multiple-file search feature; this was one of the few text editors that didn't bark at me when creating an ".htaccess" file



GB-PVR - a free PVR program that's comparable to any boxed PVR software; supports most (all?) of the Hauppauge PVR cards; runs in Windows

PmWiki - PHP based wiki package

RealVNC - Install the server on a machine to give another machine remote access. Especially useful if you have a PVR in the living room that has no keyboard or mouse.

Tortoise SVN - How can you develop without source control? Tortoise is a Windows extension for Subversion.
