National Geographic has released an article claiming that scientists from a university in China have successfully created embryos from human cells and rabit eggs. Only a few years ago the world was cloning sheep, and already we are working on "animal-human hybrids".

I don't strongly agree or disagree with this, but I'm thinking that it can't be good for us to be fucking with these types of things. On the other hand, the embryos were destroyed and used for stem cells. If Ben Franklin never flew a kite in a storm with a key on it, he wouldn't have noticed electricity. Not to say that someone else wouldn't ever come up with this idea except for himself, but advancements in science and technology are only found through strange experiments. It will be interesting to see what we are working on by 2010.
