Holy crap - it's been ages since I've put a post up here. Honestly, I haven't been up to too much. This occurred to me last night after talking to my first college roommate. The last month or two I've been enjoying my place at Pleasant Gap. That's been nice. I still haven't purchased a real family room set, but have curtains up, and most of my belongings are where I want them to be. Hopefully I'll get a sofa and matching chair for my family room pretty soon, and maybe some paintings and pictures for the walls.

Been sick for ages it seems, but just got over the yearly 2-week cold. My friends always say I get sick cause my immune system is weak, but I like to blame it on running around too much (which I suppose weakens the immune system). It never feels like life presents me with enough stress-free-Ryan-time - more of that would really keep me in good health. After finally going to the doctor, he gave me a prescription against allergies, and somehow, two days after that, I felt better. There's nothing like feeling healthy though - and it makes me want to run around again.

My Fall is looking fairly quiet, and I hope to keep it unoccupied. Planning too many things is sometimes not good. I'd prefer for empty weekends to pop up, so I can wake up and say "i feel like driving here today", without having some other obligation. Aside from going to a friend's wedding and my Thanksgiving trip to Toledo (both will be fun), I really want to get in the woods a few times before cold settles in. Ah, I have some tickets to see The Decemberists down at the 9:30 club for their 11/9 and 11/10 shows. That show will be KICK ASS. If you are not already listening to them, you are seriously missing out! Get yourself some tickets, and come hang out that weekend!

I'm all moved into my new townhouse in Pleasant Gap. Similarly to when I applied to RTD back in the day... this isn't something I wanted to share with the world till it happened for sure, in case there were any complications. So if you were wondering, I didn't fall of the edge of the world or anything.

I've been here about three weeks now. My parents drove out from Colorado to help me move, and helped me get pictures up in all the right places. They also bought me some furniture for my family room. I also got a new HDTV, sent to me as a house-warming gift by my sister's family. It only took 3 weeks to get internet and cable TV all setup due to some miscommunication between Comcast and the homebuilders, but what can you do.

So, today internet is working! And believe it or not, I'm sitting on my couch in the family room getting this post together. The new TV (with it's rather large screen) actually has a VGA connector, so I pulled out my dusty PVR and plugged it in. After the cagle guy was done setting things up, I ran out to grab a wireless keyboard and mouse so I can hit up the web from the couch. I must admit, after favoring small fonts for years, the Ralford.net fonts are now a bitch to read. I'm sure Firefox's CTRL/mouse-wheel option will come in handy.
