At 3960 feet, Blake Peak – the first “46er” I summited from an earlier survey of the Adirondacks – does not meet the true 4000 ft requirement of being a 46er. Unlike many of the other peaks, this one didn’t offer a view, as its knob sat in the trees. Nevertheless, it proved to be a challenging hike.
